The Worst Hotels in Las Vegas

Vaseline 3 days ago

The Bellagio. The Venetian. The MGM Grand. We know all about the best hotels in all of Las Vegas. But which hotels are the opposite? Which hotels would you absolutely not want to stay in on your next trip?

With all due respect to online casinosMillions of people flock to Las Vegas each year to experience the glitz and glamour that can only be found on the casino floor in Sin City. The lights, the sounds and the ambiance are unmatched.

While in Las Vegas there are plenty of great places to stay, such as the New Hard Rock Hotel Las Vegas. That said, not every hotel in Las Vegas is worth checking out. In fact, these hotels are some of the worst you’ll find in the city.

The Luxor

It’s easy to see the appeal of Luxor. After all, it’s one of the tallest pyramids in the world. But once you step inside, the appeal falls away and it’s easy to see why it’s on this list.

The hotel has fallen behind and hasn’t made many improvements to keep up. You can find plenty of reviews with literal damage in the hallway, from water or pieces of the wall being ripped off. The cleanliness of the rooms is a whole other topic. Despite the curb appeal, it’s better to stay somewhere else.

The STRAT Hotel, Casino & SkyPod

Where do I begin with why this hotel is on the list? The amenities are there, but you can expect to pay a pretty penny for each of them. Reservations are unreliable, rooms are dirty, and the smell. Oh no, the smell.

There are plenty of activities to participate in, but it seems that most of the attractions in the hotel are closed for maintenance. The pool is often closed. There have even been cases of insect bites from sleeping in the hotel beds. Stay away at all costs.

Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino

The Rio was once home to the King of poker gamesthe World Series of Poker. It should be a warning that those professional players touted the Rio as the worst hotel in all of Las Vegas.

A complete lack of cleanliness, bed bugs, an inconvenient location, and even a couple of high-profile robberies are just a few of the claims against the Rio. The service, cleanliness, hospitality, dining, and gambling have all deteriorated, resulting in one of the worst stays in the legendary city.

CircusCircus

Circus Circus’ reputation isn’t one that came out of nowhere. With an average Yelp rating of just 2.1 out of 5, it’s been one of the worst hotels in Vegas for a while now. Unfortunately, the bed bugs are just the beginning of the problems.

Far to the north end of the strip, everything about this hotel is wrong. Some rooms even have old CRT TVs! Roaches, broken elevators, trash and garbage everywhere, and a million other stories in Circus Circus reviews. The stories about the Manor Motor Lodge, the worst rated room on the strip, should be warning enough.

Conclusion

There are plenty of great places to stay in Las Vegas. Do your homework ahead of time and you might be able to avoid an experience at one of the worst hotels in the city. This list should be a good starting point for where not to go.
